Thieves for CANKER SORES
For CANKER SORES use Young Living Essential Oils Thieves Oil Blend. Put a drop or two on the end of a Q-tip and apply it directly to the canker sore. It burns like crazy! But then the clove helps to numb the tissue, and the pain lessens and the infection clears up. A few applications is all it takes. Dilute with a carrier oil to help the burning.

Melaleuca (Commonly known as Tea Tree Oil)
Uses of Young Living Melaleuca Alternifolia Essential Oil
COMMONLY KNOW AS TEA TREE OIL
Melaleuca Alternifolia (Mel A) is analgesic,
antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant,
anti-parasitic, antiseptic, antiviral, decongestant, digestive, expectorant,
immune-stimulant, insecticidal, neurotonic, stimulant and tissue regenerative.
The leaves of the melalueca tree (or tea tree) have been used for centruies to
heal cuts, wounds and skin infections. Mel A has strong immune-building
properties and is a must have for your oil collection.
- Acne -Apply
1-2 Drops on Location; or try putting about 10 drops in a small spray
bottle with distilled water and mist face several times a day.
- Skin Allergies –
Apply 2-3 drops to the skin.
- Hives –
Dilute 3-4 drops and apply on location.
- Athlete’s Foot –
Apply 2-3 drops directly to the feet.
- Candida –
Apply 3-4 drops diluted with V-6 (or carrier) oil for massage of the area.
- Skin Infection –
Apply 3-4 drops on location.
- Boils –
Apply 1-2 drops directly on the boil. Repeat until gone.
- Cavities –
Dilute and apply 1-2drops to the jaw and gums.
- Chicken Pox –
Diffuse 8-10 drops and apply oil all over the body twice a day. Amount of
oil varies on body size. Can make a rub with coconut oil and Mel A to help
the Mel A go further.
- Cold Sores/Herpes Simplex –
Apply 1-2 drops directly on location.
- Colds –
Diffuse into the air. Apply 1-2 drops in the palms of hands and inhale
cupped over nose and mouth. Apply 1-2 drops over the throat, temples,
forehead, back of neck, sinus area, below the nose, chest or vita flex
points on feet.
- Cough- Apply 1-2 drops in the
palms of hands and inhale cupped over nose and mouth. Apply 2-3 drops over
throat and chest.
- Flu –
Apply 3-4 drops on the chest, back, neck, sinuses and vita flex points as
often as necessary. Mel A is also found in this flu bomb recipe.
- Sore Throat –
Apply 2-3 drops on throat and diffuse into the air.
- Strep Throat –
Combine 2-3 drops of Mel A with Thieves and a carrier oil and apply
directly to the throat.
- Tonsillitis –
Dilute 2-3 drops and apply on the throat, vita flex points and lungs.
- Dandruff –
Apply 3-4 drops on scalp.
- Ringworm –
Apply 2-3 drops directly on location.
- Ear Infection/Earache –
Rub 1-2 drops around outside of ears and down the throat.
- Wounds –
Mel A is great for disinfecting wounds. Dilute 1-2 drops with carrier oil
and apply on location.
- Gum Disease –
Dilute 2-3 drops and apply on throat and gums.
- Inflammation –
Apply 3-4 drops on location.
- Deodorant –
Apply 2-3 drops directly on skin or with carrier oil. Can blend with 4 oz
of unscented talcum powder and 2 oz. of baking soda.
- Jock Itch –
Put 2 drops in 1 tsp of V-6 (or carrier) oil and apply to area both
morning and night.
- Rashes –
Apply 2-4 drops with carrier oil on location.
- Staph –
Apply 2-3 drops on location as well as on the bottoms of feet.
- Sunburn –
Dilute 3-4 drops with carrier oil and apply directly on location.

Thieves® Oil Kills 99.96% of Bacteria
Young Livings Thieves® Oil Blend was tested at Weber State
University (Utah) and found to have a 99.96 percent kill rate against airborne
bacteria. It was found to be highly anti-infectious and supportive of the
immune system.
Homemade Version and Recipes of Thieves Oil Blend
If you make your own homemade anti-infectious recipe, which
is the homemade version of Thieves Oil Blend, please use only Therapeutic Grade
Essential Oils, from a trustworthy source!
Your skin is like a sponge and what you put on your skin will enter into
the bloodstream. Please note that 98%
of the oils on the market are perfume grade and not Therapeutic Grade. They can
contain dangerous toxins. Organic does
not mean therapeutic grade. It can be organic and still be diluted…and many
are. I use Young Living Essential Oils.
Homemade Anti-infectious Recipes
In a dark glass bottle add the following essential oils:
40 drops of Clove Essential Oil
35 drops of Lemon Essential Oil
20 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil
15 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
10 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
*Note: One 15 ml bottle of essential oil contains
approximately 285 drops and one 5 ml bottle contains approximately 85
drops. Store away from and sunlight.
Preferably in a cool location. Keep out of reach of children.
"Thieves Oil Recipe" All-purpose Spray:
This is an all-purpose spray solution for cleaning and
disinfecting around the home. This Thieves Oil Recipe is great for purifying
the air and eliminating odours. 1 drop
of thieves essential oil for each ounce of water. Add the thieves oil first, then add water. It mixes better that
way. Shake vigorously before each use.
Basic Thieves Oil Recipe for Topical Application and
Massage:
1 drop of thieves oil to 4 drops carrier oil. Massage on the feet (vita flex points),
lower back, neck and behind the ears.
You should use this dilution for everyone. Babies too, though usually
just on their feet. Test for sensitivity first. If this should get too warm just rub carrier oil or V-6 on the
spot. The neck is more sensitive than the back, chest and feet. *Note: This thieves oil recipe is excellent
for daily use on the feet, especially during the cold and flu season.
Thieves Oil Recipe for Diffusing: Diffuse 15-20 drops of Thieves Oil for 15 minutes three or four
time a day in an essential oil diffuser. This can help defend against
infectious germs. This is valuable during cold and flu season or during
infectious outbreaks.
You can add a few drops of Lemon Essential Oil along with
the Thieves Oil in the diffuser for respiratory infections.
Thieves Oil Recipes for Household Use: Stuffed Animals- To disinfect and clean,
place toy inside pillowcase and tie shut. Fill washer with detergent, use
fabric softener if desired. Add 5-10 drops of Thieves Essential Oil, (for small
load) to washing machine. Wash on gentle cycle.
Hair spray buildup, gum, gummy adhesive- Dilute 8 drops in 4
ounces of water, spray, let set for a few minutes before wiping.
Cell phones- Spray thieves cleaning solution very lightly on
a cloth and gently wipe phone.
Dishwasher- Add 4-5 drops thieves oil to thoroughly clean
dishes, eliminate bacteria and odors.
Laundry- Add 5-6 drops per load to freshen and disinfect.
Pet Bedding- Spray down cat boxes, dog houses, and pet cages
to clean and disinfect.
Pet Dishes- Add 1-2 drops to soapy water and wash dishes.
Rinse well.
Plants- To repel aphids spray plants with a mixture of 2
drops thieves oil to every 4 ounces of water.
Floors- Add 10-15 drops to ½ bucket of cleaning water.
Surface Disinfectant- To clean and sanitize surfaces-add
8-10 drops to 8 oz. of water in spray bottle.
Fragrance- Add a few drops to potpourri or cinnamon sticks
to fragrance your home.
Purify the air- Add several drops of oil onto a cotton ball
and place in home, office, car, or hotel air vents to eliminate odor..
Freshen laundry- Drop 4–5 drops onto a cloth and place in
clothes dryer.
Bed Bugs- Spray mattresses to help dispel bed bugs.
Children’s Toys- Add 4-5 drops to sink water and wash
children's toys to clean and disinfect.
Thieves Oil Recipes for Common Ailments
Influenza (Flu): Dilute
15 drops with 15 drops of carrier oil. Apply to lower back (where viruses and
bacteria tend to hibernate), to the upper back of thighs, and back of neck to
help with symptoms. *Note: When I get
the flu and have body aches, I massage Thieves undiluted or “neat” to my lower
back, and on the top back of my thighs with “excellent” results. The relief is
amazing.
Some people have sensitive skin and it is too
"hot" for them to apply it undiluted, so always test first for
sensitivity and have vegetable oil nearby to wipe off if necessary.
Theives Oil Recipe for Flu:
6 drops of Thieves Essential Oil, 4 drops Oregano Essential Oil, 4 drops
of Mountain Savory Essential Oil, 2 drops of hyssop Essential Oil.
Place in a size “00” capsule and take up to four times a
day.
Thieves Oil Antibiotic blend: 10 drops of Thieves Oil, 6 drops of oregano, 2 drops of
frankincense. Place in a “00” capsule
and take daily.
Thieves Oil Recipe for Immune support: Dilute 1 drop of thieves oil to 4 drops
carrier oil and apply to feet. Apply twice daily, morning and night, for extra
support during cold and flu season. (especially before leaving for school,
work, or going out in public)
For defense against colds, flu, and other infectious disease
apply to the bottom of feet.
Bronchitis: Dilute 1
drop of Thieves Oil to 4 drops of carrier oil and apply to lower back, sternum,
chest and throat. Rub on the feet sinus and bronchial “vita-flex” points.
Insect bites (mosquito, bee & wasp stings): Apply to bite or sting to reduce
inflammation, relieve pain and counteract toxins.
Thieves Oil Recipe for Sore throat: Add 2-3 drops of Thieves Oil to 2 tbsp. of
water and gargle, or add 1 drop of thieves and 1 drop lemon essential oil in
warm water, drink as tea. You can lick
1 drop off top of your hand and swallow or you can drop 1 drop directly on your
tongue, swish around in mouth to mix with saliva, and swallow slowly.
In a small spray bottle add 1 drop of Thieves Oil to 1 ounce
of water. Shake well and spray on back of throat.
Cuts and scrapes:
Dilute 1 drop thieves oil to 4 drops of organic vegetable or carrier oil
and apply to wound to help prevent infection and speed healing. You can apply
Thieves on gauze or band-aide and cover wound or scrape.
Thieves Oil Recipe for Headache: Place a drop of Thieves Oil on your thumb and place on the roof
of your mouth. This may require a few repeated applications. Be careful not to
lick your lips as this can burn. Use vegetable or carrier oil to wipe off if
you do.
Head and lung congestion:
Place a few drops in a steaming bowl of hot water, cover head with towel
and inhale vapors.
Poison Ivy: Mix 2
drops of thieves with 2 drops of vegetable or carrier oil, if there is swelling
add 2 drops of lavender.
Acne: Apply
undiluted to pimple. This works great and dries the pimple out quickly. If skin
is too sensitive dilute with vegetable oil.
Put a drop of thieves on your toothbrush before brushing to
kill cavity producing germs and to sanitize your toothbrush. Thieves Oil Recipe for Mouthwash: Add 1 drop
per ounce of water, shake well before use.
Toothpaste: Add 2 drops to 4 tbsp. of baking soda, place in small
container (not plastic) and shake well. Dip toothbrush in mixture and
brush. Freshen Breath: Drop directly on
the tongue, or add to a spoonful of honey, Agave, or even on a piece of bread
and swallow.
Add 1 drop of Thieves Oil to a bottle of water (not plastic)
and drink during the day to boost immune system, break up internal mucous, and
help clean digestive tract.
Add 1 drop Thieves to a cup of warm water and drink as a
tea, wait 15 minutes before eating, excellent for and cleaning digestive
system.
Add 1 drop to orange juice, soy milk, apple juice, etc. to
boost immune system, break up phlegm and congestion.
Place 1–3 drops in a size “00” capsule with 4-6 drops of
vegetable oil and swallow daily to boost immune system and support longevity.
Adds extra support during cold and flu season.
The Story Behind The Thieves Essential Oil Blend
The Thieves® Oil Recipe was created by Gary Young in the
early 1990’s during his study and research on Essential Oils. According to Gary, there are 17 different
versions of the "Story of Thieves" or the story of "The Four
Thieves” and each story contain a different list of oils. Intrigued by these different “Thieves Oil
Recipes” he extensively researched the properties of each of the different
oils. Choosing certain oils due to
their chemical structure and anti-infectious properties he created his own
powerful blend now known as Young Living’s Thieves® Oil Blend.
The Story of the Four Thieves: The thieves were actually spice traders and merchants who
imported spices, including cinnamon and clove from India. When the Black Plague
hit, all international shipping and trade was closed down. Unable to do
business, these spice traders quickly ran out of money and had to find a way to
support themselves.
Since everyone was afraid to touch the dead bodies, they
decided to loot the homes and bodies of the plaque victims. They would take
clothes, jewelry, pots and pans, and then barter or trade them for food and
money. They knew they wouldn't get sick if they rubbed vinegar, oils, and
certain spices all over their bodies.
Their plan worked and they were able to set up a very lucrative pawn
business. Until the King found out…
When the King heard about the story of the thieves he wanted to know
their secret. He wanted to know how they were able to touch dead bodies without
getting sick! How did they protect themselves from the dreaded disease? He sent his Constables out to capture them.
Four of the thieves were caught and brought before the King. He gave them a
choice to either share their secret formula of "immunity" or be
burned at the stake. The four thieves decided to share their secret formula
with the King. The King immediately
posted the thieves secret formula all over the town. Hence the story of the four thieves.
